Refund Policy

Refund Policy

Last updated: 6 June 2026

RiseDigital provides custom digital services. Because website work involves planning, design, development, setup, and time-based labour, refunds are handled based on the stage of work completed, the costs already incurred, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

This policy applies to website builds, demos, setup services, hosting, care plans, support, and other digital services supplied by RiseDigital unless a written agreement says otherwise.

Before work begins

If you cancel before project work has started, we will review whether any planning, consultation, onboarding, account setup, research, scheduling, or third-party costs have already been completed or incurred. Any refund will be reduced by those reasonable costs.

If no work has started and no costs have been incurred, we will generally refund amounts paid for the project stage that has not begun.

After work begins

Once design, development, setup, or content work has started, payments for completed work are generally not refundable. If a project is cancelled part-way through, we may provide any completed deliverables that have been paid for.

Custom website work is not a standard off-the-shelf product. Time spent on strategy, design concepts, revisions, development, content setup, hosting setup, domain work, Google Business Profile assistance, forms, integrations, or project management may be deducted from any refund request.

Deposits and staged payments

Deposits or staged payments secure project time and cover early planning, communication, design, and setup. Deposits are generally not refundable once work has started, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise in writing.

Change of mind

We do not generally provide refunds for change of mind, a change in business direction, delayed feedback, failure to provide content or access, choosing not to proceed after work has started, or deciding you no longer need the website.

Revisions and dissatisfaction

If you are unhappy with a design or build, contact us as soon as possible and explain the issue clearly. We will usually try to resolve reasonable concerns through revisions within the agreed scope before considering any refund.

A refund is not usually available simply because you prefer a different style after approving a direction, or because you request work that was not included in the agreed scope. Additional work may be quoted separately.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. If our services fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy. Depending on the issue, this may include having the service fixed, supplied again, partially refunded, or refunded where required by law.

If the problem is minor, we may choose to fix the issue within a reasonable time. If there is a major problem with the service, you may have additional rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Monthly care plans

Monthly care plans can be cancelled before the next billing period. Fees already paid for the current billing period are generally not refundable once hosting, monitoring, support, or update services have been provided.

Annual care plans, if offered, may include discounted pricing. If an annual plan is cancelled early, any refund or credit will depend on the services already provided, third-party costs incurred, and any written terms agreed at the time of purchase.

Hosting, domains, and third-party costs

Domain registrations, renewals, hosting, email services, paid plugins, stock assets, software subscriptions, advertising spend, payment processing fees, or other third-party costs are generally non-refundable once purchased, activated, or paid to the third-party provider.

If a third-party provider offers a refund or credit, we will pass on any amount we receive that relates to your service, less any reasonable administration or work already completed.

Project delays

If a project is delayed because required content, feedback, approvals, login access, domain access, images, or business details are not provided by you, this does not automatically create a refund right. We will work with you to restart or reschedule the project where practical.

How to request a refund review

To request a refund review, email us with your name, business name, invoice number, amount paid, reason for the request, and any relevant details. We will review the request against the work completed, costs incurred, the agreed project scope, and any rights you may have under Australian law.

Processing approved refunds

If a refund is approved, we will process it using a reasonable payment method. Processing times may depend on your bank, card provider, payment platform, or other financial institution.
